Brian Linaza, UP High Senior, wins 3rd place in the "Ako ay Pilipino" National Level Competition
Congratulations to Mr. Brian Linaza (8th from left in photo), 4th year student of UP High School Cebu, for winning 3rd place in the "Ako ay Pilipino" Contest (National Level), sponsored by the Inner Wheel Clubs of the Philippines, Inc., held in Makati on 10 January 2015.
The "Ako ay Pilipino" contest was conceptualized as a search for talented, promising, physically healthy young Filipino, either male or female, whose leadership potentials and evident love for our country and its people should be nurtured so that the winners may be effective participants in community development. It is designed to give preference to those from less privileged families to enable them to obtain the applicable college education which is at times beyond their reach.
